Area 55 offers a one-of-a-kind, off-grid experience in the high desert — where design meets nature. It’s not a traditional hotel stay, but a curated escape for those who appreciate art, architecture, and the outdoors.
Here’s what to expect:
You’re in the desert – conditions can include wind, sun, dust, and temperature swings.
The Futuro is fully powered and climate-controlled – but runs on solar, so please be mindful of usage.
Water is available – not limited, but we still ask guests to use it consciously.
It’s remote and quiet – we recommend bringing food, layers, and anything you’ll need for your comfort.
Self-reliance is encouraged – we provide clear instructions, and you’ll be able to enjoy your stay without interruption.
We also offer concierge-style add-ons such as picnic setups or guided check-ins with advance notice and an added fee.
If you’re self-aware, curious, and excited by the idea of stepping into a design time capsule in the desert — this is your kind of place.
